The old wood to emphasize on a «tree house» effect
Atelier Monts et Merveilles was charged with interior design, study and furniture, in partnership with its team of craftsmen, to deliver the chalet key in hand to the owners.
A metal beam was used as the main framework between the two levels, painted mat black with an identical finish to that of the glass wall and steel guardrail.
The old wood wall cladding was placed between the beams of the ceiling in order to emphasize on a « tree house » effect, just like the openwork ceiling in the bathroom which enables an indirect softened lighting.
The facades on the furniture were lacquered directly at the workshop in our own spray paint unit cabin, which enables Monts et Merveilles to offer endless colour possibilities.
The curtains, bed head as well as cushions on the sofa were made-to-measure
The curtains, bed head as well as cushions on the sofa were made-to-measure according to the choice of textile which match the general atmosphere of the place.
The bedrooms comfortably sleep six adults.
The staircase is made with natural oak, like the floor, while the frame is old timber in which the lighting was integrated with built-in spot lights.
The kitchen was conceived and adjusted to the shape of the roof. It is made of old wood and lacquered facades. The counter is in « Z » black granite.
Even the bench in the living room was made-to-measure, integrating drawers underneath.
